Dean turned 26 on the 26th!!!

Mya loves Gma Hansen's piano!!! She actually has some musical talent in her that I can see sprouting, she will sing after the a song on the radio or after I sing to her she will go "ooooooo" it is actually really pretty! maybe uncle Boone can give her lessons.

So for Dean's bday I did a scavenger hunt. It started at home (I wasn't there) a note that led him to a mtn dew bottle outside with a note that led him to a softball with Mya's handprint up at the temple then that note said to follow me (Mya and I were waiting up there) we led him to Al's and walked straight to the firearms and I said "K, we are getting you a gun." He was smiling so big!! Dean has a few guns but he doesn't have a .22 or a 243 so he picked out this nice 243 rifle with a super nice scope. He is so busy this semester he didn't draw for a deer tag and his bird dog died this year so I think he will enjoy some coyote hunting:) I'm excited to go with him. ( My sister told me at my bridal shower that I need to make sure Dean gets to kill something every now and then cuz it will make him happy and its true)

Dean sporting his new toy!

I worked a few hours the other day and while we were waiting for Dean to get home Mya grabbed at my badge so I put it on her and she was loving walking around with it on! My future xray tech!

The last of softball (this year)

So we had our last games of softball for this year and it was kinda sad cuz we lost. We placed 4th overall but our team was good enough to at least get 2nd or 3rd but oh well. We played hard and had fun. Dean had a couple home runs. I didn't bat very well but I played first and stretched my long legs and got a few close calls out that's always fun to do.

most of the members of our team are in our ward, building ward unity

I love her new skinny jeans!
of course no one looks but Shalese :) haha love her!

sneak peek at mya's halloween costume

So I decided to do something cheap easy and cute for Mya this year for Halloween and so she will be her Great (to the 12th) Grandma...Pocahontas. On my mother's side our lineage goes back to Pocahontas (and fyi that's not her real name but I can't remember it) and I found on pinterest this cute idea for an indian to use a tutu so that's what I did. This is Mya testing it out.

Happenings

Mya's new outfit from Gma Smith (don't mind the pink tylenol mouth-she's had a cold lately)

 Watching Jaxon play soccer

oh I love Grandma!

Yesterday was Gma Ward's 89th birthday bash in Bloomington ID so Mya and I rode with Dean's mom, dad, and sister. Dean had to work so it was just us. It was a lot of fun we ate, played a fun game of volleyball (boys against girls) I love that Dean's families are so sporty. It's so fun to get together!

Mya loves kids and babies-I hope that's a good sign that she will be a good big sister:)

Griffin, Crystal, and Shalese

WWWEEEE!! Mya loves to go down the slide!

Happy birthday Gma Ward!!!

Hey messy girl! She loves pork n' beans!

She was so tuckered out by the end of the day. I love looking at babies and kids when they are asleep. It is so heavenly and peaceful looking. I just love her!

Today we spent the evening at the Hansen's. We played badminton and picked some pumpkins and just hung out. September is my favorite month it is warm but not hot and cool but not cold...Perfect!

I inserted this picture to show what happens when Dean gets a hold of the camera. As I was uploading photos I found this and started laughing oh dean-o!

softball 60-31!!!!

So this summer, and now fall, has been full of softball! we love it at our house!! Mya is so used to just walking around the ball park and watching mom and dad-she even clapped when she saw dad catch a fly ball:) she melts my heart!!!
anyway....so I played on an all girls league with some girls from high school and we were playing in the championship game we were ahead of them by 10 then they caught up then the score was 13-24 they were winning half way through the game because they were walking alot!! and I was the pitcher (not to toot my own horn) but I never walk very many people so I was frustrated (on a side note-the league we play on is that the ball has to land on the plate or on the white mat behind it thats it) so most pitches I give on the corner of the plate to try and make them hit where I want them to so they would not swing at anything close so I just had to put it in the middle which is sometimes hard to do when you are trained to do the corners. anyway, so we got so frustrated so in one inning we each hit 4 times!!! thats alot!!! we ended up winning 60-31. The head guy of the league said he has never seen a softball game scored that high! That made us feel good:) then the umpire told me that if they didn't have the white mat behind the plate rule he would have called the pitches strikes so that made me feel better.
So now that's its fall time we are finishing up our short softball league and now its on to....flag football!!! Dean plays on thursdays and I play on mondays. Mya is seriously such a good sport letting us cart her around and playing with the other kiddos. We love sports in our family! Mya doesn't have to be an athlete but I hope she likes to play cuz I think that's what will be our family time:)

Paris Ice Caves

What a labor day!!! After Dean got done mowing lawns monday morning (a side job he does) we went to my parents place and got their 4wheeler and motorcyle and said "hey come with us" so my parents got their 1943 willy jeep then we headed up to the mtns! Mya got to hang out with gma and grandpa in the jeep and Jaxon and I on the 4 wheeler and dean on the motorcycle we went up to go to bloomington lake but some other riders said there were tons of people so we changed our minds and went to the ice caves. We got there first and waited for mom and dad and while we waited we decided to look for some huckleberries a little ways up the road and that was a bad idea cuz we came back to the caves-mom and dad were not there-dean rode ahead to look for them came back and said there was a rider that said he passed them so Dean zoomed ahead of us and there was a fork in the road up a ways and of course I took the wrong road :) so long story short-Jaxon and I were going in circles with Dean for about an hour and then we found each other. I have to admit that I got scared for a bit and Jaxon said "we should say a prayer" I said "good idea you say one and I will too" after a while he asked "did you pray?" I said "yeah like 20 times" :) Jaxon is a good boy and I see him doing a lot of good things!
My dad just laughed when he saw me and said "how did you get lost? oh well you couldn't have gone too far" so that was an adventure i'll never forget. Mostly because I have been on that trail before but I have the WORST sense of direction! I'm serious the WORST!!

it was a rocky ride in the jeep:)
 Hey big girl!!!

Mya's first day at nursery

Well my baby is not a baby anymore... because our ward is a married student ward there are only a handful of kids and so if one is 18 months then a few close in that age can go to nursery with them and so there are 3 kids under 18 months and over 12 months that are in nursery now. Mya's first day was last sunday and she did so good!! They danced and ate and played. The couple that was teaching said that Mya and another girl, Addi, when they eat snacks they compete to see who can chew the loudest. (Mya makes so much noise when she eats especially if its good) hahaha that made me laugh! Mya is just growing up too fast!

Just a side note, I got asked to play on a coed flag football team with couples from our ward (Dean has to work so he won't make it to the games) I'm so so so excited! I love flag football! and I haven't played since I went to BYU Idaho and after that I did rugby at BYU Hawaii. I defineitly need to practice but it should be way fun!
