Easter 2014

We spent Easter weekend in Richmond but we spent most of saturday in Franklin. On saturday we went around all of Geraldine's neighbors that had baby animals we saw chicks, lambs, and goats-the goats were my favorite! we then went to franklin and had a candy hunt in the parents backyard, we painted eggs (while Mya was painting her eggs Dustin started caressing her cheek with his finger-he loves his nieces-and Mya is so used to him mauling her that it didn't even bug her hahaha), we had a yummy lunch, and Dean and I took a fun and fast drive in my dad's new side by side. I inherited my gma Smith's dining room table that was given to her when she was married by her parents! I absolutely love it! (I'll get a pic of it soon)
On Easter Sunday Mya found her easter basket and we went to church in Richmond and had a delicious dinner and we just hung out until it was time to load up and head back home.
Easter is my favorite holiday next to Christmas and I love spring time!

I'm grateful for….our peach trees

I'm so thankful for our peach trees we have 2 one in our front yard and one in the back by the play place. Mother nature provides so much for us and sometimes (especially lately) I forget to thank Heavenly Father for this earth we live in and the beauties it has and for what Santaquin has to offer us. We have the mtns as our backyard and we have 4 fruit trees and the beautiful orchards here and a beautiful canyon near by.
Our family loves peaches and now since my mominlaw got me a canning steamer and a dehydrator for my bday I am even more excited to harvest our peaches this fall and I hope one day I can be as good of a food preserver as she is.

I never got around to getting a picture of our peach tree blooming but this is a beautiful tree next to our bedroom window and the peach tree looked very similar to this one.

"cootie tootie"

One sunday morning after Mya got in her dress and her hair done Dean told her "whoa Mya you're a cutie pa-tootie" and Mya giggles and runs to me and says, "daddy call Mya cootie tootie"
haha she is a daddy's girl for sure!

An attitude of Gratitude….

I just loved general conference last weekend! one of my favorite talks was from Elder Uchtdorf about having an attitude of gratitude and I really needed to hear this one (and every other talk that was given) but since moving here last July I have been homesick for Cache Valley and having a 2 week old newborn and having raging hormones while moving didn't help me but I thought I would get over it after a few months but I haven't. Dean loves his job and I love our ward and my new calling in the RS presidency but that is about it. I don't want to make a list of the things that I dont like so I have decided I need an ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE! So I'm going to try and focus on what I do like about utah county and being grateful for what I do have….

The first thing I want to post of what I am grateful for are these 2 cuties! They bring me a lot of anxiety and stress but also my heart has never been more full of love.
