"My brother sister!"

Mya calls Baylor "brother sister" and she is quite protective of him. I love to see them interact with each other and I have rubbed off on her because she talks to him in a high pitched voice like me :)

5 years down eternity to go!

For our 5 year anniversary we went out to breakfast, just the 2 of us, at Angie's then later we went on a 4 wheeler ride up cherry creek in Richmond. We decided to celebrate in Cache Valley because we have free babysitters-thanks grandma!- and we wanted to go on a 4 wheeler ride in the beautiful mountains.

I feel so blessed to be married to such a wonderful man! He is so sensitive to the spirit, he honors his priesthood, he loves me and loves our children, he is so fun and playful, he is so good looking:), he loves to laugh, and he is a very hard worker. these past 5 years have been the best I have ever had and I am so thankful to be with him for eternity!!!!

(written by Dean himself)...

I feel like i'm the luckiest guy in the world, and my kids are so spoiled to have the mom that they have. Lacey makes me so happy and i'm so fortunate to have her for eternity. I love that she likes to be active and that she likes to make sure that everyone feels included. These past 5 years have absolutely been the greatest years of my life. I love you so much and i am so thankful that you put up with me thus far. haha. 5 years down eternity to go!!!!! Your such a cutie sitting on the 4-wheeler!

Grandma Smith's funeral weekend

These pictures are out of order but my grandma smith's funeral was beautiful and all of my wonderful memories of her were flooding my mind this week. I went to my mom's house a couple days before the funeral so I could help with anything that needed to be done and so I could have time to myself to mourn before the whole family got there. The first time I went into her house I started bawling. She was my closest grandparent and I love her so much and the legacy she left me. She always talked of her family history and would show me all her old pictures and antiques, I give credit to her for giving me that passion and love for history and old things. I have an old soul in a young body:)

Mya at the funeral-this is my favorite coat ever! my mom got it for her last year but it didn't quite fit until now

My dad and Jaxon drove grandma from the church to the cemetery in his 1923 model T

the smith and lewis clan

The day before the viewing I took Mya over to grandmas to get some pictures of her in her old dress that she wore in 1927 when she was only 5! she kept that dress for all these years and it is BEAUTIFUL! it was hand sewn by my grandma's aunt whom she was named after, Franta. When we were walking through the door mya yells, "knock, knock!" like we always do when we go over there. Then after mya walks to the living room, where gma is usually sitting, she looks at me and shrugs her shoulders and brings her hands up and says, "where'd dama doe?" I started to tear up and I tell her she is in Heaven with Jesus. She looked a little confused but she is only 2 so I didn't want to go into detail.
