Like father like daughter...

Ok I have never seen a 3 year old play ping pong but Mya is amazing! She blew us away with her coordination! Just like her daddy!

Mya didn't suck her thumb for 3 days in a row!

So we made a little chart for Mya and her thumb sucking habit. if she went 3 days in a row she got chapstick and she did awesome! now she is doing 10 days in a row for a little toy and so far so good...

Daddy-O and I

I found this picture of my dad and I when we were up in the mountains getting wood. I haven't ever seen this photo and I love it!!! I don't remember my dad with dark hair so it's fun to look at and I love how pure country he is! He is such a good father and I love him so much!!! He's my daddy-O!

My beautiful babies!

Being a mother is the hardest job ever! I have never been so pushed to my limits before emotionally or physically. But everyday I have a moment or moments where I look or hold or play with my 2 babies and I feel this immense unexplainable joy. My heart will swell with this pure love that I can only feel with them. I feel so blessed that these specific spirits have been sent to Dean and I to raise and love. Family is Forever and I believe in that with every fiber of my body!

Baylor rubs his swaddle blanket in his ear

Baylor loves his swaddle blankets and rubs the corner of them in his ear. He usually does this when he is being cuddled or going to bed. hahaha silly boy!

Lacey's Tonsillectomy

So after a few years of having tonsil stones I was ready to get rid of them for good! I decided to have a tonsillectomy even though I knew the recovery would be long and painful. I had my surgery on Jan. 6th in Logan so I could stay at my mom's while Dean was working. I'm glad I did because by day 3 I couldn't function. My ears hurt so bad, my throat hurt, it hurt to talk, my head ached, I couldn't eat or sleep, I lost 8 pounds (yahoo!), I could only play with the kids for a short time then I needed to lie down. But day 5 was the worst! my right tonsil just started bleeding and wouldn't stop! I ran to the bathroom to spit in the sink and then it was like a faucet and I hurried to the toilet and just let it drain then sometimes it would go down my throat and I was throw up blood. It was so awful! It was sunday so Dean was there thank goodness, but my dad walked in to see how I was and said, "oh man Lacey! I'll call mom" (she was having a meeting with ward council) but I couldn't talk to tell him that I would be ok in a few mins and he was freaking out but I could see why, the bathroom looked like a murder scene with blood everywhere. So we went to the ER and I went in for a 2nd surgery to stitch up the hole. I guess my scab fell off too soon or something like that. The dr. said if they didn't stitch it it would bleed again. and I said, then put me under cuz I never want to do that again. And after that I slowly recovered and after 10 days with my parents we met Dean in Layton and headed home. It felt so good to be back home and to get back to our routine.

It's been 16 days and now I just feel like I have a sore throat and I am feeling so much better. I'm so thankful for my parents and all they do for us! I really could not have done it without them. I'm glad I got them out while my kids were little too and not in school and I will never see a tonsil stone again!!!!! It was so hard but so worth it. I guess that's how all things are, anything worth it is going to be hard.

Maxee kept me company and I found that I slept better if she was with me:) my mom and mother in law played with my kids and we saw 2 bald eagles on our drive to preston. I love our family!!!!
