Happy 1st Birthday Baylor Man

Our little manly man is 1 !!!
We didn't do anything spectacular (even though I wanted to have a "on the farm" party) or invite friends or tons of family because of our busy schedule and Shalese's reception but we did have fun with the family that was there and we just adored him!  He is so cuddly and fun! I can't imagine our family without him. We get so many comments on his eyes how blue they are and how long his eyelashes are, we all love his laugh and smile, we love how excited he gets when he sees a dog or any animal, we love to hear his deep voice and we love that he is ours! This past year has been crazy for me but I'm so grateful I had him when we did and how lucky we are to be his parents.

*wants to run but just isn't there yet
*says: mama, dada, moo, vroom vroom, dog
*shrugs his shoulders when I ask him where anything is
*plays better with Mya
*cuddles and gives kisses a lot!
*weighs just under 22 lbs
*has 6 teeth (4 on top 2 on bottom)
*wears size 4 diapers
*loves to eat
*weened off of nursing very well
*screams at Mya
*has lots of volume when he screams
*very good natured and happy

he is so nice to share:)

Happy Father's day Daddy-O!

Can't believe that this time last year we were in the hospital having our sweet baby boy!
We didn't do much for father's day, we spent time with family and had cake for Baylor's bday, we had family pics taken, Mya filled out a paper and I asked questions about her dad that was fun, we went on a side by side ride up in the mountains and got some alone time to talk, and Dean got a new suit for shalese's wedding a week before so it was pretty low key but I have never been more grateful for Dean than this past year, he has helped me so much with everything I need and I just love him with all my heart!!!

ps we love our father's too: papa sid and gpa smith they are the most handsome, funny country bumpkins and I am so grateful they are my children's grandfathers. They are a wonderful example of hard work, simplicity, joy, and love.

Sid and Shalese's wedding-St. George UT

Shalese and Sid were married in the St. George Temple June 5th and we stayed with Annie's parents who are house sitting a huge mansion in a gated community with a pool and pickle ball courts (our new  favorite sport). They were married on a thursday so we stayed until saturday afternoon.

We went to the temple and had a costa vida luncheon at a church house, we swam, played pickle ball, went on a little hike, swam some more, and played pickle ball all night, hunted scorpions, watched monsters university, and talked and ate a lot! I love Annie's parents and they are so sweet and fun and inspiring. It was a nice mini vacation.

one thing happened that I want to record: we went swimming one afternoon and it was just Dillon and the boys and us at the time, there are 2 pools and we were the only ones in one of them and a lady and a security guys came to us and said hurry get out a baby pooped in the pool a couple hours ago and you can get a disease that can be fatal, so we got out and we rinsed off and hopped in the other pool. it was funny, in a way, to see how worried she was (yes it grossed me out and i wanted to hurry out but it was a big pool and I'm sure I've swam in a pool with poop and pee in it so many times) she was just a little too sure that we were going to die. but we are alive and well :)
here are some pics:

May randoms...

The kidlets looking outside on a warm day--i love the diaper legged babies

Baylor LOVES baths! someone mentioned to my motherinlaw how expressive his face is for a baby and this pic is just one of many :)

Baylor picked up Mya's doll and put it up to his chest and patted its back and hugged it!! haha it was so funny and cute! he is the most cuddliest boy! he always has to hug us and always kisses me:)-Mya is a good big sister and loves to bath with "bayer"

The Museum of Natural Curiosity

Memorial day monday Dean's parents came down and helped us with some yard work (pics to come) Dean is so hard working, I know I always say that but he is! He had a sinus infection and was still working hard all day in the sun. Around 2 the parents left and we got cleaned up and I begged Dean to take me and the kids to Lehi to the Museum of Natural Curiosity it is brand new and I have wanted to go so bad. so we went and it was a little over priced but the kids were free and it was worth it cuz it was so neat! One of our favorite was the courage room where you stick your hand in a hole and it does different things, one was where little things came on your hand and it simulated bugs and their feeler things touching your hand all over! oooh it was so weird! Dean jumped pretty good (and so did I)

Mya trying to stomp on the light-it compared you to a panther and how quick they pounce

the hurricane simulator-there wasn't an option for winds to get up to 139 MPH but it did with Dean and we couldn't get it to get that fast again

it took my breath away

cute little water play for babies-I just can't get over how HANDSOME my boy is!

pretending to be mommy! in the X-ray room (that was so cool!)

playing in the water by noah's ark

the coolest park ever! it had shredded bits of tires for the ground so it was spongy and Mya did well on the zip line swing

we probably won't go back again anytime soon cuz it was pricey but it was so cool. I love and crave for family time
