hahaha what a cutie!

Baylor's first haircut!

one evening I was going to cut Dean's hair and Dean said we should cut Baylor's too. I thought his hair was getting quite long around his ears and the back of his neck but it was still not growing very fast in the front so we just decided to do it :) i'm so glad we did cuz it makes him look even older and manly haha I love having a boy!

Goodbye Elder Pili

We met Elder Pili 2 years ago in Montpelier at Dillon's house-he was FOB straight from Samoa and hardly knew any english. We were invited over one sunday night and he became our good friend (he loves Mya) and would always give Dean a call just to see how we were doing. He was transferred to Logan and served in our area when we lived there and would always stop by to eat or borrow a jacket (we haven't seen it since :) ) he served in my parents ward for a bit and then he was in Ogden area the last part of his mish. So we went to the testimony mtg they had in Ogden for all the missionaries leaving, he did a good job and you could tell he learned a lot on his mission. He still can't speak english very well but he can understand you a lot better. We are going to miss him but we also can't wait to go back to Samoa and visit one more person who has adopted us as family.

(dean didn't want to unbuckle Baylor so he just lifted him up haha)

Mya's first day of tumbling

Friday was Mya's first day of tumbling! she is growing up so fast!
A lady in our ward does it out of her house and I thought I would give it a try.

wow my big girl!

she followed directions very well and Mindy (the teacher) told me that she is very coordinated for her age. I had a proud mommy moment! She was very engaged and cried when we left but thank goodness grandma hansen visited that day and helped me get her out of there :)

26 years old!

Wow 26! weird to think that I am closer to 30 (yikes!)
On my bday Dean and I took Mya to her eye doctor's appt and then Dean went back to work. My friend Michelle made me a lunch and had some friends over from the ward and mindy came too, it was so fun to chat and eat good food, then I did what I do day to day and that night Dean made dinner and baked a chocolate spice cake (my fav) we had a simple lovely night together as a family. For my gift I got a nice infared under armor jacket for when we go to Alaska in August.

(this was the day we got back from Box Y and was in Richmond picking up Mya-Gma Hansen had me a cake and a gift when we got there-it was a can steamer so I will be able to can peaches at my own house)

Dean couldn't wait to let the cake cool before putting on the icing hahaha oh I love him!

Of course I had a lot of help :)

Box Y-snowmobile trip

My parents and a bunch of their friends have gone to the Box Y lodge in Wyoming for years, since i was really little, and now since we aren't in school we asked if we could tag along. So we went up north on friday the 21st so i could work at instacare the 22nd and we left monday the 24th to head up to Alpine WY. we left Mya with Gma and Gpa Hansen and brought Baylor with us because there isn't any electricity for me to pump.
On our way up we passed a couple that was in our group, Tyson and Jen Campbell, my dad was flying with his big snowmobile trailer and their faces looked angry then they realized it was us and laughed, then we passed Tyson's parents, Shelly and Paul Campbell, and he just stuck his tongue out at us :) then we came upon a moose….

it was trotting and I thought it was just go off the road but instead it started to gallop next to our truck and was going about 25 MPH! it was so cute!

My mom and Baylor- he is ready to go in his turquoise suit that was Uncle Boone's when he was little (my mom in law has everything)

he doesn't seem to excited...

We park at Alpine and ride our snowmobiles in 30 miles in to the lodge.
we each had our own sleds and Dean carried Baylor in some of the way then I did the rest.

my parents

 Dean and I

The beautiful Grey's River-I really want to see it in the summertime

Dean just having fun off the trail...

We made it to the lodge with an 8 month old and it took 3 hours :)
this is a pic of our cabin-we got the biggest one because it was available and it belongs to a private owner and not the lodge's so we got a good deal

We decided to go on a little ride up to Blind Bull where a warming hut is, but i accidentally called it a hot house so I think that's what it will be called to us from now on…same thing right?

on our ride up we spotted a moose again-I think they are such a goofy cute animal!

look how deep the snow is!

Dean's rental snowmobile over heated here are the guys trying to figure out why it won't start-shawn atkinson, Tyson campbell, Casey Olsen, my dad hiding behind Dean. Tyson kept saying that something in the engine was "hotter than a firecracker" he said it a few times and Casey said, "hotter than a firecracker huh?" and would smile a little. haha it was funny and I just sat and watched til they got it to run.

At Blind Bull they had 10 in. of fresh powder it looked like rolling prairie hills covered in untouched snow. and here is Dean jumping over a cornis (sp?)

I never really like selfies and never take them but I thought i better have one in my life...

yeah and here is me jumping haha before we left i eventually got my backend off the ground :)

The ladies hang in out in the lodge-my mom, tami (shelly campbell's sister), Tyona Atkinson, and Shelly

Chris white and sherri jorgenson

When we first got to our cabin and unloaded we realized that some gas leaked on our way in and totally soaked my parents suitcase and got ours a little bit but thank goodness Baylor's bag was good. this is a pic of my parents stuff airing out-we basically wore one outfit for 3 days:) i only had one change of shirt and so did Dean and my parents didn't have anything. what an adventure!

Baylor ready to go for a ride!

My parents in our cabin

Baylor man just had some lunch

Playing mormon bridge with chris and jen (dean took the pic) We just love chris! while playing cards i mentioned to her how she reminded me of my mom in law in how competitive she was and she responded by saying ,"what are you talking about i'm mild and meek" Jen said, "ya she is the bishop's wife" Dean pipes in "so is my mom" haahaa we laughed so hard talking with her! she went with a ride with some of the guys and it was pouring rain during their ride she comes back in the lodge and says, "well that wasn't F-U-N" she is very witty and funny in her remarks. the day that we left she was holding Baylor and she took him over to the stuffed buffalo and says, "ta-tonka" I just started laughing because that means buffalo in sioux and its on the movie, dances with wolves, i love movies so i instantly knew where she got that from and just laughed about it all week!

Baylor being guided by keith olsen to get the lodge's cat named tabitha

playing the game left, center, right
we played a round with each person put in 3 quarters and paul won!- he threw his arms up and yelled, "yes!" and shelly hurries and grabs all the quarters (it was 12 bucks worth). so we played another round with each person putting in 3 dollars and what are the odds but Shelly wins!!!! Paul grabs his wife's face and kisses her (they are not a PDA type couple) and then throws his arms in the air and yells "yes!" then grabs all the cash (about 50 bucks) and stuffs it in his pockets! we were all dying laughing!!
i can see why gambling can be addicting i wanted to play again!

All the guys went on a ride to Cabin creek-it was too hard for the women so we talked and played games in the lodge-it is so beautiful there-this is shawn atkinson and dean

Shawn and my dad

on our ride out Baylor did a lot better and it only took 2 hours to get out.
the atkinsons, my parents, and us

just about to load up the snowmobiles to go home--me and my little man!
what a fun trip that was and we can't wait to go again and i can't wait to do it without a baby :) even though he was a pretty good boy
