Christmas 2014

Christmas was wonderful this year. Christmas Eve there was no snow at all then when we awoke in the morning there was tons i think about 8 inches! it was a winter wonderland! That Day the kids got to open presents with just us 4 it was so nice and happy. Mya got a cinderella doll and dvd and a live pet bird. Baylor got a basketball hoop and farm animals. they both got a tent with balls. We then headed up north for the Hansen christmas party. I actually had to go into work the day before the party, the day after christmas, no one was scheduled to work so they were in need of someone fast. The next day was the party the kids went sledding, rode snickers, played games, ate a big lunch, had a musical talent show-mya sang the star spangled banner and i whipped out my violin and played a couple songs, the grandkids played Gmas old chime thing from when she taught school, opened some presents, and the adults played volleyball and basketball. The whole family was there  and of course it was a good time!!

The smith party was the next day, sunday. We ate and sang and played a couple games. my mom had us do some service this month and we had to talk about that experience. I loved this! I told about how we went and visited an older couple in our neighborhood a lot and how I helped take care of my friend's kids when she was going through her miscarriage. I don't want to toot our own horn cuz we should be doing a lot more but I was so glad for this assignment from my mom and hope that our kids will have service as a strong quality. we opened presents and talked.

all in all it was a wonderful holiday season. I'm so thankful for our families and for the birth of our Savior. I love Him and the life he has given me!

Saturday spent with friends-Nutcracker Ballet and Lunch (12-6-14)

My friend Chelsee Niebergall invited some of her friends and I to lunch at a french restaurant in SLC and then to the nutcracker ballet. It was a much needed break for me and it was so fun to meet some other gals. I love hanging with Chels and the ballet was amazing and so was the food

(Hailey, me, Chels, Allison-she is the daughter of Sister Reeves who is in the General RS pres. she is my claim to fame:) )

Hahaha yes Mya he is and there is nothing tougher than a farmer:)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Thanksgiving was spent in Richmond this year. It was a more quiet Thanksgiving but it was still so much fun! There was Gma Bonnie, Boone, Dean's parents and us. The night we got there Papa Sid was going to his clinic to deliver some sharpe puppies via Csection and I wanted to help so I did! I rubbed a puppy for 20 mins to get it to breath. It was a neat experience. We ate a lot of good food and we played games literally all day! It was awesome!! Mya loved to talk to her Great Gma and she talked her ear off all day. I can't remember what she was saying to her all I know is they were best buds:) We also heard a neat family history story of one of Dean's great gmas Tora Wilde. It was so touching and I loved it! I draw so much strength from our ancestors! It is on family search.

6 years down Eternity to Go…..and I wouldn't' spend it with any other man! (11-07-14)

Well, this month marked 6 years of marriage with my man! We were making plans for a getaway to Moab or Park City but it just didn't seem like any day was going to work so we spent it doing a session in the Provo Temple. It was a beautiful day and I had bought a new dress the day before so I felt pretty and Dean had a new tie so we were pretty classy:) I love going to the Temple and no matter how many times I always feel like it's a special unique time each time and its always so nice to come out and feel so renewed and a new perspective on life:)

I love Dean Hugh Hansen more than ever! I feel like we have been tested to our limits this past year but I also feel like we have grown up being farther from family and have had a lot of fun moments with our children. Mya being 3 and Baylor being close to 18 months has been so much fun! I really like these ages:) and Dean gets a kick out of it too. I love what loving a fun hard working father Dean is to the kids and I'm so thankful we met and married. I love being married and sharing life's troubles and joys with him by my side. Happy 6 years to us!!!!!

Poor Mya….

Baylor got mad and Mya the other day because she took a toy or something that he wanted and he gets revenge by hitting or pulling hair and this day it was hair but holy moly he got a lot of hair!!! He spent some time in the crib in time out and i consoled mya I really felt so bad for her I'm sure it was painful but I guess that's what happens with siblings cuz I certainly remember Dustin getting a good chunk of my hair a few times.
