So I had a student scan me at work at 16.5 weeks and I told her to write down what she thinks it is and then I would take it to Dean's work at lunch to open up together and she said she was 70% sure it was a girl. We were happy, we really didn't care as long as everything was healthy. So we figured since Dustin and the student tech said girl that it was most likely a girl but we still didn't tell anyone because it was still so early. I'm so glad I didn't! So yesterday I had my 19 week scan done and she asked what I thought it was and we said girl (Dean and Mya were in the room with me) as I told her the story she was like "oh nope its definitely a boy!" she turned it to 3D and sure enough he wasn't hiding anything! hahaha

I'm already so in love with him!!! I'm also excited to have one of each! We are just so blessed with a wonderful family I can't wait to meet him!!!!

I can tell Mya is going to love him too! She loves when I hold babies and she always is so careful and helpful! I know they will become good buddies!

Sick day

Poor Mya had RSV for a bit. I really hate it when she is sick, it breaks my heart! She is still a really good girl even when she is sick. We took her to the ER and she did so good except she couldn't stand the oxygen monitor strapped to her big toe, she kept crying and saying " tootsies! tootsies!" hahah

One night she laid in between us for a couple hours and she just laid still and closed her eyes and sucked her thumb but she would reach her hand over and run her fingers up and down my arm. She was putting me to sleep it felt so good, then she would reach over to Dean and pat his face just making sure we were both there. What a sweetie!!

Dean's church ball

Here is some attention on Dean instead of Mya:) He played church ball the other night and they barely lost by 2 points! It was such a good game but intense, meaning the guys get really angry and rough- I believe it is because not everyone knows how to play so it's basically prison rules:) but the guys that know how to play hate it because that's not how you play ball so you see everyone wanting to punch each other in the face. That's my take on it but I love sports so its fun to watch and I'm glad Dean is getting some cardio.

We were trying to show Mya how clean her teeth were after brushing them and she kept pulling the same faces we were pulling so I had to hurry and grab my camera to catch her and we got one!

Mya's words and dreams

Mya loves to talk and she is actually quite good at it. Lately all of her words that end it a P sound like Up and Help- she adds a T sound to the end so it UP-T and Help-T I guess correctly it would be UPED AND HELPED. I am going to try and record her saying it one of these days:)

So the other day in the middle of the night I could hear Mya mumbling through the baby monitor (yes i still use a monitor, it comforts me) she mumbled then she said really fast, "mom, dad, yeah!!!" and during the yeah part she clapped her hands, then it was silent. I guess she is gonna be like her dad and talk in her sleep:) I wonder what she was dreaming about!

Hansen 2012 Christmas Party

We had the Hansen Christmas party the first week of January so that everyone could be together. It was fun! Dillon, Annie, Stu, Celia, Dean and I all went to the rec center and played raquetball and wally ball then we ate, chatted, played, ate, then we had everyone together for dinner and gift exchanges for the kids.

I think my favorite part was sledding behind the Nauvoo (one of the horses) It was Mya's first time sledding and she was nervous at first but she likes horses and I kept saying, "weeeee!!" and she would nervously copy me, then we ran over some frozen horse turds and Mya yelled, "uh oh!! uh oh!!" it was across the pasture from where Dean was and Dean said he could hear her yelling that! It was so funny!
