6 years down Eternity to Go…..and I wouldn't' spend it with any other man! (11-07-14)

Well, this month marked 6 years of marriage with my man! We were making plans for a getaway to Moab or Park City but it just didn't seem like any day was going to work so we spent it doing a session in the Provo Temple. It was a beautiful day and I had bought a new dress the day before so I felt pretty and Dean had a new tie so we were pretty classy:) I love going to the Temple and no matter how many times I always feel like it's a special unique time each time and its always so nice to come out and feel so renewed and a new perspective on life:)

I love Dean Hugh Hansen more than ever! I feel like we have been tested to our limits this past year but I also feel like we have grown up being farther from family and have had a lot of fun moments with our children. Mya being 3 and Baylor being close to 18 months has been so much fun! I really like these ages:) and Dean gets a kick out of it too. I love what loving a fun hard working father Dean is to the kids and I'm so thankful we met and married. I love being married and sharing life's troubles and joys with him by my side. Happy 6 years to us!!!!!

Poor Mya….

Baylor got mad and Mya the other day because she took a toy or something that he wanted and he gets revenge by hitting or pulling hair and this day it was hair but holy moly he got a lot of hair!!! He spent some time in the crib in time out and i consoled mya I really felt so bad for her I'm sure it was painful but I guess that's what happens with siblings cuz I certainly remember Dustin getting a good chunk of my hair a few times.

the first snow….Mya's in heaven!

well, I'll just say Mya LOVES snow!!! when we got back from Franklin one saturday evening ( i had to work that friday in Logan) i got the kids dressed in the their snow gear, Baylor cried and threw himself around the whole time I was trying to get him dressed, Mya was sooooo excited! Dean got the shovel and they all went out to shovel and play. I stayed in and fixed dinner. Baylor warmed up to it but wasn't having a great time but Mya was in heaven! she kept saying how much she loves snow and how excited she was and she just had a grin on her face. I love the excitement kids get over things and I'm glad she loves snow that will make this winter more bearable:) now to just warm Baylor up to it...

Baylor the electrician

One day this month I was in my closet putting things away and the kids were playing around in our room and Baylor just starts crying and running toward me so I knew by the sound of the cry he was hurt. I asked him what happened and points to the wall and shows me the outlet and my heating blanket cord is laying on the ground and he said, "hot"and I realized he shocked himself!!! poor boy! i felt like such a bad mother I knew I should have put that cord up. The following weekend my father in law asked how his little electrician was:) ...oh my little sparky!

September 26th-Dean's bday dinner

Well, I'm late posting but for Dean's bday in september he got a spike elk tag and went hunting and I fixed him a big yummy dinner that he just loved:) Baylor actually took a 3 hour nap so I was able to cook it all. Then the kids played at the neighbors while we ate alone! :) it was a very simple and pleasant evening.

Poop on dad's hand!

Dean was changing Baylor's diaper and he needed some assistance (Baylor can't hold still and lay down while we change him-it's a 2 man job) and he was wiping and the darn wet wipe broke and Dean got poop all over his finger and hand! hahahaha he jumped and yelped! it was so so funny I was crying from laughing so hard as I was holding Baylor's arms down haha Dean started laughing too and finished the job.

Halloween 2014

This Halloween I decided to try and do a family themed costumes but I didn't want to make it all stressful or anything like that so I kept it simple and Mya was excited to be goldilocks after we told her the story and we reenacted it. So she was goldilocks and we were the 3 bears and I found Baylors costume at walmart and Mya's on Amazon then did just brown sweatshirts for Dean and I and made ears. We carved pumpkins for FHE the monday before we did and owl and a jack o lantern face. On Halloween Baylor wasn't too happy about being in a hot bear suit but he was so happy once we were outside:) Mya was loving it! We trick or treated with some of our neighbors and Mya kept up with all the older girls I was so proud and happy that she was having so much fun. We got a picture with my sister's kids and then they went off to trunk or treat. All in all it was a good holiday this year and we enjoyed one another's company. Mya said afterward, " I have too much candy!"
