Mya's first fat lip

Mya's first fat lip!!! (i took this picture a couple days after so it isn't swollen really) We went to visit dad at work at IFA and the flooring there is hard cement so she was just cruising around like she always does but I think her sandals that she was wearing were hard to walk in and then smack she fell and hit her mouth. Her upper lip was bleeding and it swelled up pretty good the next day. This picture really doesn't do justice and she wouldn't let me get a good picture, we were watching daddy play softball. I'm surprised it has taken this long for her to get a fat lip because she has been walking since 9 and a half months.

Mya's first Rodeo!!

Mya's first rodeo at the Cache County Fair in Logan! She did so good! I was thinking for the last hour I would have to walk around with her outside the arena but nope she smiled, clapped when they played country music, and she neighed when the horses came out. I can't wait til we can put her in mutton butston! The bull riding was exciting 2 guys had to be taken in ambulances (I don't like people getting hurt but it was good riding and the bulls were very aggressive) We went with our friends chelsee and nate Neighbergall. They are moving next month and we are so sad. Chelsee is Mya's favorite babysitter and we love dog sitting their great dane. But one plus is that we can go visit them in Cali where there is a beach only minutes away.

Camping and Mya turns 1!!!

So let me explain why I haven't kept up on this blog... well, I wasn't sure how I wanted to keep track of our memories and pictures so I've tried different things and honestly i really don't like spending a lot of time on the computer I would rather clean, make crafts, play sports, workout, be with my family, but I need an easier cheaper way of keeping a family album so now I am just starting over with this blog and my goal is to make a blog book for every year and then keep an album seperate for special things just for mya in her album.

This past week Dean went on a fishing trip with his dad, brother and cousins to the Uintahs and I am too scared to stay home alone so I went camping with my family to Palasades Lake and Jackson Hole. It was Mya's first trip and she did pretty good. She didn't sleep that great the first night-she woke up a few times because she was cold and then her diaper couldn't hold anymore pee so it was all over her-and each time she woke up. My brother Dustin was asleep on the floor next to us and he would whisper "Oh my gosh!" it was pretty funny when I retold it to my parents. The next day his head kept bobbing in the truck he was so tired. Poor guy.
Mya had her first ride on a ski lift-she was in a carseat attached to the lift chair. She just sucked her thumb and looked around. We went to Bar J wranglers and played horse shoes and Jaxon and I went for a run up the beautiful dirt road by the lake. I love living by the mountains! We have it so good here. Dean and I can go hunting just about anywhere, we can fish, ride motorcycles, I can go running anywhere (dean hates running). I'm just so grateful we live here and I hope one day whereever we build a house I just hope the mtns will be our children's back yard.
While camping we heard a bear, Jaxon and I floated the Salt Creek River, and we just relaxed.
Dean had fun at the Uintahs-he didn't take a camera but he said that they caught over 200 fish!! wow!! and the weather was perfect and the horses didn't run away the whole trip (that is rare). I just loved it when he got home though, I slept the last night he was gone alone at our apartment. I had a hard time getting to sleep until I got the 12-gauge loaded and put it next to our bed:) haha then I slept like a baby! I'm so grateful I took hunter's ed and I really have confidence with our shotgun- so beware anybody who comes to my place in the middle of the night! :)

Mya's birthday was fun. we had it at my parents and almost everyone made it except my sister and her fam. Mya was kind of ornery but she liked her presents and cousins. She could have cared less about her cake:) that's what I was most excited about, oh well. I just can't believe my baby is 1!!! where has the time gone?

on our way to camping-Mya put food in her hair then ran her fingers through it

 rock-a-bying her baby

cuddling with gma smith while looking at the moon and stars

overlooking Palasades-this is where we heard the baby bear cub (dustin is howling like a coyote)
 Mya and mommy

Our big girl riding the ski lift

made it to the top of the mtn! Gpa still kinda scares Mya

 A park at Soda Springs
BIRTHDAY GIRL!! gettting ready for church

Mya's favorite babysitter-Chelsee and Nate Niebergall

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!-Mya missed her afternoon nap and she let us know that she was not happy

My little healthy girl! she doesn't really like sweets and she wouldn't eat any of her cake, not even the next day-so we ate it:)

Most all of her cousins!! we love family!

Her new chair! she loves getting in and out of this thing

She LOVES corn on the cob!

Better Late than Never:)....introducing Mya Jean!!!

our little happy family-first pic together

mommy and mya

ha ha i love the faces she pulls!! her and her daddy love pulling faces:)

happy 25th dean-o

Well i'm not so good at blogging but i do have a good excuse..our baby girl Mya Jean has been keeping me busy and happy:) I seriously LOVE being mom so so much!!! Dean and I just love having a little girl in our lives. it is amazing the miracle of life and the plan of happiness!!

well, she was born aug. 5th at 9:17am 7lbs 6oz and 19.5 inches. I checked in at 3 am and started pushing at 725am. and i just have to support and say that YES i had an EPIDURAL and it was so nice!!!!!! I could have 10 kids if they will all be like it was with mya:) I love that women do it natural and maybe someday i will but i work in the medical field and i truly believe that medicine was inspired and the men that helped create it was inspired. I have nothing to prove in my womanhood so i chose an epidural!!! sorry about my spill but it bothers me when women say that they were ashamed when they had to get an epidural or pain meds. I love modern medicine!!!

ok back to the good stuff....the scary things that occured with the delivery was that they lost her heart rate in the birth canal due to the cord being wrapped around her neck but thank goodness she was ok, and her heart rate was extremely high but they watched it and it went down. Dean was a great partner through it all and he is so cute with mya that it brings tears to my eyes:) she is almost 2 months now and i can't get enough of her!!! we are truly blessed to have her healthy and here with us. I love my family, the gospel, and I know that Heavenly Father commands us to multiply and replenish the earth for good reason. it truly is a spiritual experience having children and I love it!!!

well, life is good Dean is busy with school, work and his calling in the bishopric and I am busy takin care of our baby girl!!! thanks to everyone for the calls, texts, support, dinners, and everything! I know i won't be blogging much but i will try and update as much as i can.

BBQ and Baby Quilt

The amazing baby quilt that my mother in law made and that is now in the process of getting quilted...I just love the different colors and how bright it is. the underside is a soft yellow minky fabric!!! cant' wait to cuddle her in it!

This is one of the most amazing ladies I know!!!!! while I was at BYU Hawaii she was basically my mother there. she took such good care of me and my friends. Her and her husband took care of this huge house right on the beach and they happened to be from Utah and knew my now in laws and I knew there neighbors, anyway, she is so talented and so sweet for letting me get my quilt quilted at her house with her amazing machine!!! I just love her and it was so fun to talk with her while we got my baby's quilt done!!!

Dean playin a hunting game with our 2 nephews. We went to the Hansen's for mother's day and all of the nieces and nephews were there, except for Celia's boy, and they all just love Dean!! I'm not kidding it is so funny to see the kids come in and all of them say "hey Dean-o" and then they all just climb and cling onto him!! one nephew that is only 1 and a half was eating his dinner (dean and i had already ate so we were on a chair just chatting behind his chair) and he would turn around and stare and smile at dean then grandma would say "turn around and finish eating" he would take one bite then do it again! I just love it!!! He just has this fun crazy loving personality that magnetizes them!!

Dean's day off!!!!! we got so much done outside and we had such a fun day together. this is dean washing his truck!!

26 weeks and getting ready to BBQ some steaks for dinner!!! I feel great and I just love feeling her move!!! It's still crazy to think that dean and i have created a little human and it's growing inside me!!! it's such a miracle!!!!

Graduation, RT exam, and more

well folks, I officially graduated from college and am a certified radiologic technologist (xray tech)!!!!!! Graduation was great! I was surrounded by my family that I love more than anything and we celebrated at chuck-a-rama afterwards. But of course I still felt like school wasn't completely over cuz I still needed to take my board exam...the biggest test of my life!! So I stressed for a week and a half and studied here and there. So I drove to Ogden to take my exam and after 3 hours of sitting in front of a computer and during those 3 hours the baby was movin so much! she must have known how stressed I was!!:) and all I needed was a 75 so as I was waiting for my score to come up I kept running through my head "76 76 76" and to my suprise the numbers 91 come up!! my mouth dropped open cuz I just couldn't believe it!!! but yes I did pass and that's what matters:)

It's hard to explain the feelings that come with being done with school and actually moving on with life. I feel so free, my mind and body feel less stress than it has in a long time, and I feel like a better wife and I am preparing a lot better for the little one about to enter our lives.

Most of my thanks has to go to my parents who put me through school and helped me so much financially and emotionally and Dean because without him working I probably couldn't have gotten through the program as well as I did.( wow that sounded like a graduation speech or something) anyway....life is going on here is what we are up to:

Dean is working more hours at IFA, he is getting ready to take a class this summer, he loves taking care of the yard at the apartment we live in, and he makes me laugh everyday!

Lacey is working on call for Alpine Orthopedics, cleaning, cooking, and reading.
